What you need to qualify for the PGP program
Annual Lottery Selection
Must be selected in the annual Parent and Grandparent Program lottery to submit an application.

- Limited spots available each year (typically 10,000-15,000)
- Random selection from interest to sponsor form submissions
- Must submit interest to sponsor form during open period
Income Requirements (LICO + 30%)
Must meet minimum income threshold for 3 consecutive years before application.
Key Details:
- Income must be from Canadian sources only
- Co-signer income can be included
- Must provide Notice of Assessment for 3 years
Undertaking Period
Sponsor must sign undertaking to provide financial support for 20 years (parents) or 10 years (grandparents).
